A19-16 The Grave Could Not Hold Him!
Message from Acts 2:22-24. The title of the sermon will be
"The Grave Could Not Hold Him!
A19-5 The Power of Persistent Prayer
I don't know about you, but prayer ranks as the hardest discipline in my Christian life. Tomorrow I will preach on one of the reasons we may not get our prayers answered.
It's A LACK OF PERSISTENCE. Please read Luke 18.1-8 and you can get a head- start on tomorrow. See how God speaks to you as you read this parable.
Looking forward to seeing you in worship with your forever family.
A19-4 Yet Not I
I've had many people tell me through the years how hard it is to live the Christian life. I respond by saying..."it's not hard...it's IMPOSSIBLE" !
The only person who can live like Christ is Christ. Paul found the secret and discusses it in Galatians 2.20. I hope you will read that verse in preparation for the message tomorrow. The truth of the matter is that the Christian life is not me living for Jesus, but it's Jesus living through me.

Boger City Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located just off of Main Street in Lincolnton, NC. We are a loving, praying church with a close-knit congregation where anyone is welcome.
Look In The Rearview Mirror
When our family moved to Lincolnton in 2007, I remember talking to a man and asking him..."have you lived in this town all your life."? He grinned and said..."no, not yet."
However, there IS coming a day when death will draw near, and we will begin to take inventory about how we served God. I call it a "look in the rearview mirror."
I have been by the side of a lot of dying people in 38 years of ministry. Many of them expressed regret for not having served the Lord with more devotion.
One told me "I wish I could have a do-over." Only ONE life, it will soon be past, and only what's done for Christ will last. As Paul sat in a dungeon in Rome awaiting death, he looked back on His faithfulness and service to God and he had NO regrets. I hope you will join us tomorrow as I preach about a man who was so faithful he didn't ask God for a "do-over."

Bill Bigham's Story For God's Glory
My sermon will actually be my personal testimony of salvation.
I'm calling it 'My Story for God's Glory." I have alluded to my salvation experience in some of my sermons, but never given my testimony in full detail.
The Bible says in Psalm 107.2..."let the Redeemed of the Lord say so."

A Reservoir Or A River?
Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase
So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10

Judge Not Lest You Be Judged
I will be preaching Sunday on what the verse in Matthew 7.1 means..."judge not lest you be judged.." You might be surprised by what Jesus really meant with those words.

God Gave Them Over
Our nation is slowly descending into a moral cesspool. Never has it been this bad. Most people care not that the United States is becoming spiritually bankrupt. All I hear from people is how happy they are with the economy. Tomorrow I will preach from Romans 1 concerning how a nation can offend a holy God with its sin and iniquities.
The sermon is titled..."God Gave Them Over" from Romans 1.28. I hope you will be here.

More Power To You
Tomorrow we will be looking at the greatest power in the universe. This is the power that comes as a result of being filled with the Holy Spirit. It is possible to possess the Holy Spirit; yet the Holy Spirit not possess you. We will look specifically at how the Holy Spirit enables us to share our faith.

Riding The Fence
Tomorrow I will speak on a very important subject. Jesus said 'whoever is not with me is against me." When it comes to Christ...no one can be NEUTRAL. You cannot ride the fence.
